Rebrand your Cover Letter & CV
-
Matching
Each application is unique to that particular company and job. One CV does not fit all! Work out which of your experiences and qualifications best match the tasks in the new job. Use keywords that appear in the job advertisement.
-
Focus
HR managers have little time. Do not write a short autobiography, rather than think strategically about what relevant on a maximum of two paces (CV) and one page (cover letter) is. Do not also forget the date and your signature.
-
Authenticity
Do not invent qualifications and skills that you do not have. As a rule, no one meets all the requirements. Address any gapy and show your willingness to learn new things.
-
Enthusiasm
Be sure to show your motivation to work for this company.
-
Personality
Show your skills and interest outside of your professional qualifications and educations level. Dou you run marathons? Great. This shows that you have stamina and are a fighter. Are you a volunteer coach for a youth football team? Wonderful. You demonstrate strong communication skills, also are well organised and structured. Do you program websites for your music club? Great. This shows creativity and IT skills.
