The tour started for the students in the goods dispatch department, where the finished products are ready for delivery to the customer. In production, a company employee explained how the components of a microcomputer are assembled.

In the further course of the tour, the students were able to see how the circuit boards on which the components are assembled are pre-treated mechanically. They then went to the technical support department, which deals with customer concerns - before and after the sale. The tour was followed by a round table discussion between the students and Rüdiger Theis, which was also attended by a working student from the University of Wuppertal employed by the company. Among other things, the practical relevance of the studies was discussed as well as the entry possibilities for students and graduates at Wiesemann & Theis.

Students visit Wiesemann & Theis

Students of the University of Wuppertal were guests of the Wiesemann & Theis GmbH in Wuppertal on 03.05.2016 during the Excursion weeks. They were accompanied by Andrea Bauhus (Career Service of the University of Wuppertal) and Julia Lohre (Department of Innovation and Environment of the IHK Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid).

Managing Director Dipl.-Ing. Rüdiger Theis welcomed the guests and then gave them a personal tour of the Wuppertal microcomputer manufacturer's production facility. The company with 50 employees develops, produces and sells microprocessors that link data interfaces and networks.
