Students visit Vaillant

On 26 April 2016, about 30 students met at the main entrance of the Bergische Universität on Gaußstraße to visit Vaillant Deutschland GmbH und Co KG. Accompanied by Julia Lohre from the Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid Chamber of Industry and Commerce and Andrea Bauhus from the Career Service of the University of Wuppertal, the students took the bus transfer to Remscheid to the Vaillant headquarters.

After working student Caroline Vogt had welcomed the excursion participants, she introduced the Vaillant Group together with Sonja Seewald (Manager Visitorservice and Events) in a very descriptive presentation. One group of students was then guided through the Vaillant Expo, the other group through the plant.

There, the students were not only informed about the production processes, but also about other exciting fields of work.

After completing the tours, the students had over an hour of time to exchange ideas with managers from various company divisions in a get-together. There was a lively discussion about opportunities for internships, dissertations and career opportunities. At the end, there was even a spontaneous 15-minute tour of the engineering and development facilities by Matthias Stursberg (Manager Application Software). In addition to his work at Vaillant, Stursberg is also a lecturer at the University of Wuppertal at the Chair of General Electrical Engineering and Theoretical Communications Engineering of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Anton Kummert.
