Students visit Sachsenröder
Within the Excursion weeks 2016, a group of students of the University of Wuppertal visited the Sachsenröder company in Wuppertal on 28.04.2016.
After a welcome by managing director Dirk Sachsenröder and plant manager Reinhold Sicken, the main products of the company were presented: The vulcanized fibre Savutec and the thermoset Gesadur. Both products consist to a large extent of renewable raw materials.
Afterwards a tour through the plant took place. It started in the laboratory of laboratory manager Dietmar Ellenrieder, who illustrated the development of vulcanised fibre in a vivid test, and ended with a guided tour through the production lines.
At the end of the tour, the students had time to ask further questions and gained a deeper insight into the background, engagements and networks of the company.
Dirk Sachsenröder, who already employed graduates of the University of Wuppertal, emphasized the close and good cooperation with the University and presented interesting internship offers as well as cooperation partners to the students.
