Finally, there was a lively exchange with interns and working students who are employed by Coroplast. This way, the students learned first-hand about the entry opportunities and what it is like to work as a student at Coroplast.
Coroplast manufactures adhesive & insulating tapes as well as cables & wires for a wide range of applications (automotive industry, electrical industry or joining technology). The company, which is headquartered in Wuppertal, Germany, has production facilities in Poland, Tunisia and China, more than 20 representative offices and service centres around the world and employs 6,000 people worldwide.

Students visit Coroplast

Students of the University of Wuppertal were guests of Coroplast Fritz Müller GmbH & Co. KG in Wuppertal-Oberbarmen. They were accompanied by Claudia Novak (IHK Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid head office), Andrea Bauhus (Career Service of the University of Wuppertal) as well as Iris Rudolph, Julian Bagawathsing and Dr. Peter Jonk (all Science Transfer Office of the University of Wuppertal). Together with Pinar Cebir (working student for personnel development), Eva Schürmann (consultant for trainee programs and personnel marketing) welcomed the 16 students and introduced the company in an interactive quiz. Afterwards, the students were divided into two groups and a tour of the factory hall followed, during which the students gained an insight into the production of adhesive tapes and cables.
